All-state Career/Baltimore, MD.

I signed on for the 160 hour CDL course with a local community college partnered with All-State Career in Baltimore, MD. Completed the course with 94%, passed driver test on first attempt. Companies wanting school transcript and certificate unable to get a call back from Pam # All-state. I called, leave message, no call back, call a couple more times, voice mail, no call back. 2 months have gone by, no diploma, no certificate. Also called for the advertised placement assistance, again Pam's voice mail, no call back, ever. Same with Melissa. Call the college where I had coughed up my $3905. Unable to help, program manager new, admits someone dropped the ball, doesn't know what happened. I get the feeling I'm being snow-balled. Do I have to get legal advice on what I feel is a non-fulfillment of a contractual obligation? College CDL program director issues a typed letter saying I attended and graduated. Have sent this into the companies wanting the certificate, but now I'm at 60 days since behind the wheel and these companies are expressing dis-interest (voice mail/e-mail followups not being returned). Meanwhile the college and All-state heavily advertising with mail and open houses. May have to attend one of these open houses and inform potential students of my experience before they plunk down their $4K.

Hey GBIC, sorry to hear about your mis-furtion with All State, i attend all state in Pa, and the system seems to work fine, however, after doing further research on all state, i am saddend to read all that i did about the school. however, i wanted my cdl, and i wanted it BAD, so i took the bullit to the chest, and opted to follow through with going to all state, im not 5 months in out of a 6month program, glad i made it this far, i thought for sure i was walking out,
It seems to me that it would be in your best intrest to contact a lawyer, and then call the college you attended and let them no that you have hired a lawyer, and 10 to 1 they will somehow happen to find your diploma and certificates, it sucks that your 60 days old already, you should have taken action sooner rather then later. hopefuly if you find a company that you want to work for you'll have the chance to fully explain what happend to you
well, thats about all i have for now, best of luck to you and your adventure with the school. keep me/us updated
__ hopefuly ill receive my diploma march 6
