| Wanting to start driving after the Navy?? I am currently in the Navy. Ive been in for a little over 7 years. I am looking at getting into the trucking business after i get out in May. I have been looking at Roehl, Watkins Shepard..I am currently stationed in Washington state but i am planing on moving to the Denver area after i get out. I was wondering if anybody had any other information on schools and companies in the Denver area and the two companies mentioned above..Thanks for your time..  |

| Rocko, I'm in the Denver area... Most of the big companies have terminals here, though I'm not sure about Roehl. I do know Watkins/Shephard does. There's an outstanding school, too (at least, I think it is - I just graduated). Check out Sage, in Henderson CO (suburb of Denver - very easy to get to, also). The instructors are experienced drivers and very good at teaching. There's one student in the cab at a time - so, no sharing of drive hours. I'm not sure they're GI Bill, but I know they are on the "approved" list for WIA (I used that to pay for school - my GI Bill benefits are long since expired) The short of it is, even though I have no experience attending other schools, I'd recommend Sage, hands down, over any of 'em. |

 Driving school I went to driving school while I was on terminal leave and the education office paid every penny of it. I don't know if you are to close to your separation date but I think it would be well worth looking into. Kirk  |
