| C-1 in Indiana Just curious what companies they "pre-hire" for? Or should I say what companies come out there and pitch their recruiting plans? Thanks |

| C1 I just graduated from there. PAM, PAM Dedicated, Decker, Averitt, and USA are the companies they most deal with cuz' of Drivers Solutions. I'm better off to keep my foot out of my mouth about the rest. |

| First of all, C1 (Driver Solutions) has two schools in Indiana. Their main campus is in Indianapolis and they have a smaller school in Fort Wayne. Driver Solutions is a recruiting agency that recruits sponcored students for PAM, USA and Averitt. Driver Solutions is the school and they recruit independent students for Werner and Swift. The training itself is exactly the same…for expample PAM students will be in class with Swift students. The sponcerd program is good cuz you don’t have to have more than $200 up front, but you have to sign a 1 year contract and you won’t make as much money your first year. The independent program is better because you don’t have a contract and will make more money, but you have to pay for the tuition up front. I know people who have gone both ways, and the independent students(those that go with Swift and Werner) will make more money their first year. As far as the training goes, the school in Indianapolis is great. Like I said, I know three people who have gotten their CDL there. If you live close to it I suggest you go take a look...it is located on the corner of Raymond and Sherman. I don't know anyone who has been to their Fort Wayne school but I imagine it is good also. |

Ya, I have a friend who was pre-hired by PAM but then dropped. C1 rolled him to Swift and he loves it. He averages about 3000 miles a week and gets home every other weekend. He keeps in contact with a couple other guys from the school, and one really likes PAM but only gets about 2500 miles a week...and one works for STAR and averages about 2200 miles a week. |

| OUCH! $6K for a CDL. That is way too high. Go to a community college or private driving school. Those routes should not be more than maybe $1800.

| No, you can go home and are charged nothing...or if you qualify they will try to finance you and get you a job with someone else. |

| Oh, and if you pay cash the school costs $3,995. They call it the "cash discount price" or something like that. |
