I am actually looking at one of their sites-- PAM, I believe. I would like to know the outcome of your question, and will be watching this thread. Hang in there, good luck!

I will be starting in Oct. with them. I'm sure if you search this site you can find more info. I can tell you in NC the school that they use is Future Truckers of America in Asheboro

    Where are they located at?

From what I gather they are in Ft. Wayne and St. Louis.

I am in MI and am looking to get started and from what I have read PAM is a good company to start with. Just need to know where the schooling takes place.

    Thanks.

Website says that PAM pays you WHILE you train? I can't believe that one....

Great school, but I'd pay my own way if I were you. Pam sponsors students but you have to sign a 1 yr contract. If you pay your own way ($3,995 - cash discount price) you'll get a better job, make more money your first year, and not have to sign a contract. They also have a school in Indianapolis, and I know 3 people who have gone through that one. Fort Wayne is much closer to you though.

Thanks, but up-front cash is something that I seriously lack. :biggrin_25525:

I don't have a problem working for a little less money. My wife has a very good job, and I don't need to get rich. Not yet, anyway.....

    Thanks again.

I have read a few rip-off reports about DS. There were a few stating the individual had been put out of school for a strange reasons ie: applied once before, company that pre hired ended up saying no ect. Some even stated DS would not tell them until after the 6 day grace period, leaving them to pay. Anyone have any idea why this is? I have recently been looking in to DS, but would rather not deal with any situation like this.

i have a few VERY detailed threads about USA and driver solutions. if your ducks are all in a row and MVR ETC are good you shouldnt have a problem getting hired by one of the Cos they recruit for. i personally would recommend doing your yr with USA. i was happy there for mine.

    Sunchild25 Thanks this.

Thank you Pat. I have been looking deeply into USA. That will most likely be the company I choose. Just reading those reports made me nervous considering I can't just pay out of pocket for school.
