coastal driving school?

Does anyone know about Coastal Truck Driving school? Seems to be o.k. and people are alot nicer than Diesel Driving Academy. I'm worried about getting a job when I get out of school. They told me that Werner was a good company to get a pre hire. There class is 160 hrs., 4weeks, $4300.

I would be happy to assist you with getting a job regardless of where you go to school, but it's difficult to give any sort of direction without knowing anything about you. Do you have a clean MVR? any criminal? Dui? Health problems? License suspension?

Here's some info on Werner . [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link.
Freight is at its lowest level in 5 years . No carriers are getting more work . They are hiring to replace a growing number of people quitting because they aren't getting enough miles . Stay away from the trucking industry . There is no security or good pay there . Many people have been trying to find work for months without any luck . I just read a post by a driver with 12 years experience , clean MVR and hazmat endorsement that was laid off 4 months ago and can't find a job .

There is always more to the story than what is in the post.

I would look into the LWIA at your local employment office. If approved, they pay for the school and some schools have free housing if you're looking too save money on gas. We went with National Driving Academy in Greensburg, La. Heard alot of good things about diesel driving academy, nothing good about coastal.
