Talking Port Newark area schools

OK, I live here in NJ right near Port Newark, Kearny, Elizabeth, Rahway and other fun trucking locales. Which trucking school should I choose. Im a fast learner and can self study for the writen test. One school, Winsor, says that they have a simulator, which makes them different. Well, which school should a choose or should I go with another school. By the way, after reading all of the negitive stuff on company sponsored schools, I want to have some control over what I learn and not get into some crazy contract that makes me owe that company for what could seem for life.
