THIS IS MY ASSESMENT ON THIS SCHOOL AFTER TWO WEEKS HEAR.

The school has a good plan. They don't want to cram you with more classroom time than truck time. Therefore they have you take 33 lessons online before you arrive to school.
You are in the truck from 700am to 330pm (APPX).You are in the class room 330pm to 530.Then you finish for the day.
By Wednesday on the third week CDL testing begins. Friday are retakes for any fail test.

THEY DON'T HAVE A GOOD JOB PLACEMENT PROGRAM. All they do is help you fill out an application and teach you some interview skills.

    Tuition is $3845. $2200 for online course.$1645 practical(residential training).

The training is good. But talking to the students, I noticed grand majority were under the impression that they would be prehired before graduating.
School recruiters never guaranteed a job, but I am sure they misled students. How better way to get students to your school by promising them a job?

I had a driving job because I found one before stating school. I was lucky.
I feel bad for my classmates though.

In conlusion. You will receive good training and a CDL. Getting a job will be your responsibilty.

Any idea where you're going to work after school is complete ?? If not, stay in touch, there are a few companies that train from here. Where in Fl do you reside ?

I reside in Miami. I am going to work for an owner operator. This means no benefits. But I prefer working for a company that offered benefits but I knew my chances were slim getting on with a company once I arrived to this school. Don't get me wrong, this school is a very good school. But selling myself to a comapny that has thousands of application to look at is discouraging. But atleast I will be working and it may work out great with the owner operator.

Yes I will like to stay in touch for any suggestion.

Good, at least you'll have a job. If you get a 1099 for taxes it sucks, but do what you have to do. Get some experience, then more opportunities will be available. Freight down there is tough, except for containers, and flowers. Best of luck.

Armellini Express is down that way, also Lester Coggins (LCtransportation). Both have websites.

    Thanks.
I will apply for those to companies as a back up.

If it does not workout with this owner operator, I will relocate to a better hiring area. Somewhere near I-10.
