I gotta say, I would NOT post links to those pictures. That is one hillbilly setup ya got there. I especially like the plywood and the gas tank right under the muffler pipe. One rusty spark and there ya go.

How noisy is the Honda 2000 vs. Honda 3000 ? Does anyone know ? I don't care about numbers of decibels, but your personal opinion ? There is anyone who have complains about noise ?

Depends on what your starting. If diesel its nothing more than a switch with off-on-start positions. A cheap lawn mower switch for a powered iginition will work fine (about $11).

The Honda EU2000 is very quiet...Mine sets behind the cab and you have a hard time hearing it 10 feet from the truck...You can't hear it inside either...Nice thing is't nice and cool inside...and less than a gallon of gas a night...Works great for me...And I have about 1200 bucks in the whole setup...I know guys who spend that much everytime they go to Thermo King to get there APU repaired....

I know one of the big drawbacks of the battery powered units, is the amount of time before the batteries will need recharging. If you are on a decent schedule, then you will sleep and drive roughly 50/50 and the batteries can be recharged dailey but if you end up sitting over a weekend or somewhere waiting for a load then the batteries would need to rechatged. Why not have a small gas powered generator just to charge the batteries when necessary ??? I still have not seen what these units cost. I know the batteries are expensive but you burn almost no fuel and hardly any maintainance.
