N14 Cracked the Compressor shaft 3 times!!

    My opinion, the N14 if bought as a 460 you got a better cam for Jake output.
    The sixty series you want to find the EPA tag on both of them and get the year. Both will give you years of great service.

    i know its been a long time ago but ive been really busy and i just got a chance get on the computer. After finally taking a look at the truck my cousin told me to check the crankshaft for play. He said that his old truck used to go through clutches and accessory shafts occasionally before he replaced some little aluminum spacer plates on the crank. So i removed the pan and sure enough there was play. I called the original owner to ask him where he got the engine overhauled and the dealer refused to stick with warranty because once its taken to another shop warranty is void i talked to several people and after 2 hours of holding on the line and talking to several people they agreed to give me a discount on the parts and the oil and the oil filter. I replaced those spacers that probably have a technical name and truck has been running good hopefully this is the last shaft
