    I agree with AGLAW on this. Granted I'm used to running dumps in VA where we have up to 7 axles, but if your a tandem your best bet is to reg. the truck for 48k and then get the 5% permit or how much it is here. I wouldn't invest too much into switching hardware to gain a gross of 2k lbs.
