My favorite part is the navigation system by Garmin. What many people do not know is that Garmin products are used by many boat operators in the marine industry as they are very reliable systems. Also the digital gauge solution gets me perked up as well. I am not a big fan of technology as I am old school but what impresses me is the technology to duplicate a existing gauge and put it on a computer display. Only Southwest airlines duplicated this for their aircraft fleet. what are your thoughts on this?

OK I have a question, this new system says it is PC based. So when it gets the dreaded "blue screen of death" does the truck crash and kill you too?:biggrin_2556:

And how long will it be until it gets a virus, if it doesn't come with one from the factory?

I think its as much like a computer is as qualcomm is. Heck maybe they're trying to take on qualcomm.

Fancy and cool, I dig it
But, I'm sure that the expense will keep many fleets away from such things.
Owner Ops? I guess if you that the cash

In-cab infotainment System on a 2014 389 Pete - the navigation button won't working anymore so I can't get into the GPS. Any ideas??
    Thank you!

My GPS navplus whatever on my 2014 pete 579 sucks. The navigation lags and shuts down often.
All other perks work good, the gauges, info system and radio.

I've had it for a year and a half and the little 'Navigation' button just went grey for no reason (that I can figure out). I didn't realize how much I had come to rely upon it and now I am lost ... literally!!!

Have this system in a 2015 KW T800. Works good. Was just wondering if I could program other guages into the system and take away one. I need to free up a spot on my dash for my Air-weigh guage. Any info thanks.

    Koolk -
Have you ever had one of the 'buttons' on the screen go grey (so when you press it, nothing happens)?
    Thx.

The button goes grey usually due to the vehicle being in motion so that the driver cannot use that function while driving,,it's a safety issue....

If the Nav System keeps shutting down/going blank take it to your local KW/ Pete stealership and they should have an update/fix that takes about 10-15 minutes to download onto your SmartNav. we keep ours on a USB stick for portability....

No you can't change the "VIRTUAL" gauges in the screen for customizing. what you see is what you get....was told that they are working on changing that though.

    Koolk Thanks this.
