    cascadia regen..... nightmare!

ok, so here i sit... on a on-ramp while my truck is doing a regen... i moved from the side of the highway about an hour n a half ago..
this will now be the 4th regen in the past 48 hours the truck is doing....
the lights that are lite up are:
    check engine,
    STOP,
and the Exhaust Filter Full light....
    all of which keep flashing....
these 2 last trips have been the trip from hell with this...
my biggest issue is extream lack of power the truck has lost..
im 75440 and hard a hard time getting up the hills.. i talking, 20mph.. and also even on flat open road its not pulling the way it should...
i talked to the shop bout the issue, they said that it needs to have a regen done on it.. a manual regen... it has 3 times already!!!...
anyone have any suggestions what eles could be the problem???
one of the shop guys suggested an egr problem?!?!?
    any input??

    Sounds like a engine problem.
How many miles u have on truck?
Does the check engine go out after the regen?
If its running bad then its probally having to regen more than normal.
Get it to a shop n hooked up to computer, maybe have them force a full regen.

I would guess the regens are not the main problem but something else is happening here as its running bad and then causing the filter to clog.

I have 358,00 approx and have only had to do stationary regens when I have had sensor or other problems, but never when running healthy.

Your DPF is probably plugged up. Regens won't help. You would need to have it cleaned or replaced.

Had a similar problem on the one I drove. Ended up being a bad valve on the pollution control crap. Mine got to the point where it would run exactly 4 minutes and shut off. Better try and get to a shop before it gets to that point as I don't need to tell you it ain't fun pullin a load and have the truck die. Good luck

i talked to the shop... and they said something is clearly wrong, and sounds like more then just a regen problem.... find out on monday... ill update when they figure out whats going on...

the truck has an exhaust filtration system... " cleans the exhaust " and when the filter gets dirty or clogged it needs to be cleaned out.. so you park the truck hit a switch and the rpms run high.. and i highly recomend that if you ever have to run a regen that you find an open shoulder or an empty lot, or an empty rest area... i would kill someone if they pulled into a truck stop and did next to me... or 5 rows away from me!..
anyway. doing the regen it cleans the filter and you SHOULD be on your way!..
now.. ill add that this was explained to me super quick from a mechanic who wanted me out of the shop... other will chime in and correct me im sure...
