there is one. And that one has the numbers after he drove on the both sides of the pond. An european truck cost 1/2 to operate. Keep running 60's technology making happy oil companies, patch it to last another year and another year... Why do I have the feeling that when all people around the planet will use antigravity flying objects for transportation you will still smile behind the wheel of a W900?
what I cannot understand is why you are coming on a topic for Scania if you are considering european trucks so bad? Do you think there is anybody so stupid in Europe to throw away a 12 mpg gallon, quiet and a pleasure to drive for an agricultural tractor with 13 speed gearbox that in the best scenario will make 6mpg???

If they will pay to you 3 use/mile you will haul whatever they say! Try that Hollywood speech to kindergarden. You might have a chance to find somebody who believes you. You might give a try. Don't tell me you don't know how to try. You are fixing the american trucks all day long like that : try and error.

answer is lots, some even with 5m +, here is some 50 year old scanias working in china http://newsroom.scania.com/en-group/2012/10/01/secret-old-scania-trucks-in-china-revealed/
Here in Ireland the Scania 143 is still a popular truck, they finished producing them in 1996 but there are still plenty of them doing long distance , I even know a company using a 1984 Scania 142 on international work, you would expect over 1.5 m miles before a rebuild on a properly maintained v8 engine, I've seen more, gearboxes are bulletproof also

hm seems like lot of those are in australia, i have seen specs at laxa , it says custom 3200mm wheelbase, left 660L extra wide tank , right 540L xw tank, 1x75L(W type) ad blue on left side, and 2x55L (G type)

and say many of them come with small(2x13ton) hub reduction axles with 3.67 ratio 1525@100 -looks like it is time to build faster big hub reduction diffs than 3.96

but strange still with small 420L/min water pump, here in europe even for normal 40ton loads many of 580 and 730 got stronger 620L, while all heavier trucks got 620 only some early ones when scania did not offer stronger.

but i dont realise why somebody need 185L of adblue, if we count 5% it is 3x 1200L of fuel , although on higher engine loads it should use it more, but for sure not that much. those tanks are heavy, could put more fuel tanks behind cab instead.

Because this isn't Europe, we don't have an Adblue pump every 50 metres. The network is improving, but it's overall still patchy

we dont fill adblue on tank station, you mostly buy 1000L tank on pallet and fill truck on your own yard, many trucks have disengaged adblue consumption

i want to say , with this 3200mm wheelbase it could fit easy about 810L fuel tank on left side, put 100L adblue tank in between chassis rail, this would be better . and bring additional adblue somewhere in storage maybe on trailer. all together truck would be lighter on front axle for about 60kg

Scania R730 6x6 become quite popular in Japanese heavy haulage scene, currently there is at least 10 of them, (maybe some more but i dont know for it/them)

no no , it is just spare pipe temporarily fitted to exhaust bracket,

scania always provide 2 pipes for high exhaust, one short and one long , depending on which one you need

truck is not jet finished ....
