Scanias and Volvos, some old farts still want to drive heavily modified US trucks because they think they are cool.

I think the biggest problem for European trucks in Australia fuel tank capacity

    and SCR catalyst (ad-blue DEF)

for example scania with 3300mm wheelbase offer 750L fuel tank on left hand side ( with transfered batterys) and 400L on RHS +80L ad blue or 300L fuel and 160L of ad blue.....

lots of trucks has bridged( bypassed)

SCR catalyst, but still takes too much space

What is the point of 730bhp when the truck is restricted to 56mph (90kph) as Euro law dictates?
I have driven a V8 Scania in Europe allthough it was the 14ltr version rated at 460bhp (a 1998 Scania 144 topline). The engineering was awesome. Driving comfort was really good and included air ride on the steer axle but it is true that the European cabs are just too small. There is a narrow bunk (by North American standards) behind the seats and the original Topline Scania had another bunk above the windshield!

    Scania man Thanks this.

They use 3 axels straight truck and a 2 axels trailer so they have more loading space. I never spoke to any of them, they are on a planet o their own, when i drive at night they overtake at crazy speed, they spend a lot of money on the trucks, lot's of crome, extra lights, ecc ecc and more than often i see one of those trucks flipped over on the side of the road.

well in countries like mine that is basically all mountains with more than 600hp is possible to save over an hour of time compared to a truck like mine(430hp)
