Cat engines are acert technology which had 2 turbo that spin slower than normal single turbos. Also the new cat truck is built by Navistar and currently uses International Maxforce technology. They look just like a C-13 Cat motor and sports SCR and DPF and now currently had to adapt to urea or DEF systems. Not my favourite choice.

I own a Mercedes Engine which I have spent too much money on and has been sitting in at Wajax power systems , and they are responsible for wear on the engine block at cylinder #2 and still don't know what they will do about it. They replaced the head twice and now are saying something wore out the top of the engine block at that position. Not sure what they are going to do about it now, but I think that someone over there is gonna have to come clean about it or there will be some litigation involved. This unit has only been out on the road for a month, and everytime it came out of the shop, I did not get up the road more than 3 to 400 kilometres and boom , antifreeze leaking...
Lockport Thanks this. -
I can help you all out here. Just replace liners with new that have oring seal just under top of liner, rering pistons and reassemble. Liners start moving and take out head gaskets. No need to cut counter bores or replace heads. Good Luck
