Thanks for all the great info.
I don't have any new air leaks so i'll try the air drier repair first, then the safety valve, then the governor. I'll let you know how it goes

If that air-drier is pissin yer driver off by popping off everytime the governor cuts out, well that's to bad gonad, that's what it's supposed to do..

The problem shouldn't be hard to figure out..
Fire it up and watch your air pressure gauge.. If the pressure goes up to 120 and the air drier discharges, then pressire drops down to 90 or so causing the governor to kick the compressor back in and build pressure back up to 120, then does it all over again, that's what it should do be doing..
If the air system is cycling like described above but it's occuring to frequently for yer driver to sleep then you need to find and fix yer air leaks.. If you can't find the leaks get a two gallon sprayer and some soapy water and keep spraying to you find bubbles..

By yer description of the air drier sounding like it's letting air out of a balloon, I'm guessing you have a bad unloader valve in the air compressor.. Not knowing what kind of engine or compressor I can't say for sure, but if it hisses after discharging {some will also hiss under turbo boost} then it's likely your unloader is leaking..

When the governor is bad usually it either won't build any air, the psi setting that the compressor cuts in-out is inconsistent, or obviously when it's leaking air internally..
