I've got a Pete 378 with a factory installed spot light that doesn't move at all. The light works fine but it won't swivel or move up/down.
Has anyone attempted to fix one of these? Is it easier to replace it than fix it? Is it a PITA to do? I'd like the thing to work right, if for nothing else to have a little fun with...not in an ignorant way. I've been working a lot at night this year and no matter how many times I go through a place during the day, I get lost at night...

With everything "hard" done. Hole and wiring.
The replacement with a new unit is simple, so long as the unit is similar. -
It's probably rusted. Try soaking it down with some penetraing oil.

The handle moves, but moves as if it's 'free' of whatever it's supposed to be attached to. But if I try to move the light itself, it'll move left and right, but not up and down.
awdirect.com has a few of them for $120 +/- -

Those Unity spots usually don't have a spline in them... at least not the ones I've seen... they can be kinda a PITA to repair... I have an old friend who loves working on them and he always get's 'em right even after I give up!

If it's a Unity spotlight give me a call and I can walk you through the repair/adjustments. They can be a PITA if you havnt done them before. I have built fire trucks and police cars for 12 years and have repaired and installed more spots than I care to remember. Jason 979-229-6628
