I haul bulk potatoes out of Wisconsin... the aluminum duct floor catches about 100 lbs. of spuds in the grooves and requires you to have a wash-out after you unload.

I put up with it for about a month... then I got nicked $125.00 for a wash out in Jeffersonville, IN and that was it... I usually pay $40-$60.00...

The other problem is unloading during the night then having a 7AM reload appt.... can't do it unless there's a 24 truck wash somewhere close-by. Now I only get two or three taters stuck in the trailer along with a little 'potato dirt'... light sand which I can sweep out.

I added bout 400 lbs. to my empty weight but the good overcomes the bad on this deal....

    Gears Thanks this.

if you do a wood floor use a tounge oil finish or BLO. don't use poly. with poly you have to strip and refinish. with the tongue oil you can just clean it and wipe a fresh layer on and it looks new again.

For those that don't know what BLO is, it's Boiled Linseed Oil.

I think if you take out your carpet, possibly use it as a template, you'll do it fairly easily. You might want to put down some Lizardskin 1st, it's used in sound competitions. Get the flooring with the underlayment already on it, between the two you should wind up with what you want. Good luck.

It would be better just to install a vinyl(in the roll) wooden floor, weighs less and much easier to install. Just cut and put down.

I'm wondering what people are doing to keep moisture from underneath
out and making the wood buckle?
my brother has done a day ab before, looked as clean as I've ever seen
done with the snap together stuff from lowes and in a few years started
    buckling....
he said it had to be getting moisture from underneath because he never
    spilled anything on it
