Does anyone know how to clean these things?

Mine are a mix of vinyl & fabric. I took them down & thought I'd better ask before I tossed them into the washing machine!

Will the washing machine destroy them?

I don't think it would be a wise idea to put them in the wash I use clorox clean up on mine

I don't know Redd, you try it first and let us know.

Currently I fabreze the front cloth part and wipe down the vinyl back with clorox wipes. I've been trying to figure out how to wash the fronts myself.

I shall go and google it.

I wouldnt toss them in the wash. I use a cleaner at the Dollar Store called "Amazing" and use it straight....'W900" recommended it and it does work.

For odors, there is nothing better than this stuff:

It doesn't cover them up or leave the truck smelling like a fabric softener sheet. It really permanently gets rid of odors. My only comment? - the initial clean smell left behind (while does fade away) can smell like a bit of modeling clay or something. Not bad, just different.

I cleaned my entire rig with 'amazing' and then I soaked down all of the fabric with this stuff. Works well. Its about $5.99 at Autozone...seems to even work as a cleaner, but I am not sure that was it's design.

    RAG Thanks this.

    Well....

I took one sleeper curtain off & removed the hooks. Then I took both my closet curtains & tossed them into the wash machine. Put some gain detergent in & watched the progress.

That water got dirty in a hurry. Rinse cycle came & I poured in some gain fabric softener.

They are currently hanging outside drying (I don't think the dryer would agree with them).

They look as if they were brand new!!

Right now I have my other sleeper curtain in the wash & the netting from the upper bunk.

I hardly ever use my sleeper curtains. So I'm thinking of folding them up & storing them here at the house in closet. I will be washing my cab curtains next. Those will be returned to the truck after they are washed!

You're the man! That's just awesome. And yeah the dryer would be bad. I use to wash the shower curtain in the washer then hang it back up.

I think I'm going to take ours down and wash them next day off.

And that's is why I tossed mine in the washer. Sleeper curtains are a thicker material. If a shower curtain can survive, why not a sleeper curtain?

Watch the hooks. They can be a bugger!

I was concerned about the fabric seperating from the vinyl. We don't have hooks, we have these little plastic button things.

I have not washed the curtains in the truck yet but this is similar to it. I have washed the plastic shower curtain at home with a couple of towels I use for drying down the scooter. I hang it up to dry and it's like brand new. Just my .02
