The fan on the cats doesn't kick on until 212 degrees.

Hi I have a 07 cat acert having issues as soon as I start to pull hill, or get on the throttle check engine light comes on lose about 20% power, right berfore it happens having like sort of huming sound like timing is off. Had all vvas celinoids replaced check all wiering , replaced ecm , turned it up to 500 horse 1850 fdpt. Resealed exost manifold , to turbo. Had it all done at cat certified dealer, still problem presists it is throwing a code for bad acctuator num 3 , swapped placeas acctuator housing number one and two. Everything seems to be ok fiers up half a turn of the key fuell economy about 6.3 mpg. When the check engine light comes on , and wehn I shut it off and run it again its ok for 100 miles. Not shure what to do any more about 8500 $ about three weeks of down time. I spoke to several cat certified mechanics they can't or just won't help us I don't get it. So that's my story may not be as bad as some of things I read on here, thanks if anny sugestions be my guest thanks.

Need some help with 05 acert. The engine will not pick up the trotted response. Engine starts fluttering and I'm getting a jerking feeling. Also the abs light comes on intermittently and air dryer spits @ 100 lbs and does a full purge @ 120 when @ 100 lbs seems to pull the engine down. It's worse in humidity and wet weather. I had an n14 did the same thing so not real sure it's an acert problem maybe electical?

I drive a Pete dump 2006 avert c15 engine. My fuel filter gauge started red lining at 15 , so we changed the fuel filter and water separated filter and it brought my gauge back to normal. But since we had done this I've lost quite a bit of power. It Dr Ames for ever just to get up to 55 mph. I checked the code because I had an engine light on and it blinked 95, so we changed the actuated sensor for the oil pressure and the light went out but there is no change in the power.

Could be alot of things going on. Check for boost leaks, cracked cac, or might be if you ran it with that high restriction for a period may have scored an injector or two. Check fuel pressure to see if it is where it is supposed to be and for boost leaks before you start throwing alot of $$$ money at it.
