Just to throw my 2 cents in, I drive an 07 t2000 with a C15 ACERT and average 8.1 mpg. Worst of all was 6.58 running in the 70s across Tejas. Loads vary... Saw one 9.8 on a light load. Just had a PDI tune in an effort to get better fuel mileage, but have no results yet. How are you making any money at those mpg?

I have a 05 twin turbo cat. It is a 550 with the heavy haul numbers in it with a fuel temp resistor an dthe waste gate closed. For 300k it has had great power and averaged 5.7. for two months now it wont go above 4.4. It has had a few injectors replaced, a rocker shaft and thermostats. Other than that no mechanical work. my certified cat guy has done a full service, new air filters, pressure checked the air to air, checked turbos, ran overhead, pressure checked fuel(88lbs # 1350), injector tests, just about anything you could imagine but no change or answers. According to the ECM everything is fine. we are both baffelled and seeking help. As myself the only thing diffrent in my driving ways is i haul one way frieght and come back empty

The first thing i would do is get a heat gun. put it on your top radiator hose and check. do the same on the lower there should be a big difference. watch your oil temp and see where it is. remember a gauge is not always right so your truck may be cooler than you think, and its cheap to try. personally i would say you have a boost leak somewhere. I would aso look at the previous records. if injectors have been replaced it will not run right under a load. remans are set to 110 psi if your transfer pump is original it will only provide 88-90.
