Im looking to buy some power harnesses for a 1994 pete with the 3406 E motor. Can someone tell me where the boost sensor and also the fuel temp sensor is? It seems to be considerably different from later models.

The boost sensor is located in one of two places. Each of them will be on the drivers side of the engine and in the cylinder head. Most of the time it's above the air compressor in the engine cylinder head. It will be mounted to a 90 degree elbow with the wires from the sensor pointing straight up in the air. The other location for the early 5EK 3406E is in the cylinder head on the drivers side towards the rear of the motor. Looking at the motor it will be to the right of the air intake piping. Again it will be on a 90 degree elbow with the wires pointing up into the air.

Now the problem is is that both these locations will have a three wire sensor in them...........you need to determine that you are looking at the boost sensor and not the Air Intake Temperature Sensor when you decide to hook the boost fooler up to either of these sensors. The Air Intake Temperature Sensor will have 3 wires also, but they will point straght out the side of the engine towards you. The Boost Sensor will be able to be un-threaded from the 90 degree elbow, while the Air Intake Temperature Sensor threads straight into the head.

If you're interested in purchasing this, I build them to sell. PM me

Thanks Mr. Haney. Its a friends truck and I am not overly familiar with it. We will def get the harnesses from you. Where is the fuel temp sensor? On the later models it was on the engine mounted fuel filter housing. I cant seem to find one on this early engine.
