Anyone out there have any experience or advice on one of these? Lookin' to buy a 2007 International 10speed 336 rears with an ISX Cummins 450HP. Heard that the 2004 and 2005 had alot of problems. Anyone know about the 2007's?

My last company tractor was a 2007 KW T800 with ISX475 10spd and 4.30's and it ran great. Replaced the egr valve twice, the turbo once and the waste gate actuator once. Other than that it pulled great. Ran it up to 380,000mi and that was pulling a triaxle gas trailer grossing 107-112,000lbs being slipseated with another drver 24hrs a day 5 days a week. All and all I'd say it was a GREAT ENGINE!

If it is a 2006 build ISX in that 2007 truck and does not have the DPF, there are a lot of options and mods to make the ISX do a real good job. If it does have the DPF, there is also some new ECM reprograms being offered that will allow a delete of the DPF and enhance the performance.

The ISX is one of the easiest engines to modify if one has the urge to be creative. It is also a real strong engine internally. The pre-DPF models are easy to eliminate or bypass the EGR with no problems. I have 643,000 on mine, and the last oil sample only showed 8 ppm iron, 1 ppm lead, and .1 soot with a little over 23,000 miles on the oil. I have gotten it to where it is consistently running in the 7's on mpg as well.

2007 should be Pre DPF, good engine and truck. Got two Brand new ones sittin on the lot. All the newer ISXs seem to have EGR and Aftertreatment system problems. Simple to fix, but can be time consuming if you do all the diag steps for cummins warranty.
