Sorry to bother you guys/gals. I tried searching for this subject without any success. What do I buy to patch a small crack/Tear on the top of my 53' dry van? Do I just brush it on? Thanks!

You can use heavy grade rubber backed foil tape for a short term fix but a piece of metal cut out big enough to overlap the torn area well, caulked with a weatherproof silicone and riveted will be the best long term fix.

if it is a metal roof--just cut out or flatten the crack--and get some metal--like a part of trailer side skin--put lots of sealant down and rivet it--just like rambler said
if it is translucent roof--you can do the same---but it is better to fiberglass the roof
yo can buy little patch panels that are about 24 by 12 or so as well
