i have a 06 accert cat c-15 just had an infame and head put on it from my local cat shop .after two days of use notice fuel bubbling up between spacer plate and the head on the left rear corner. the cat shop said this is common and they would put some epoxy on the outside and it would be go to go. this does not sound common to me after 17k i dont want epoxy on my head gasket anybody had this problem or heard of this thanks.

That shouldnt be fuel, as there is no fuel passages that go thru the head gasket. Fuel runs thru a drilled passage in the cylinder head from from front to rear. Check the fuel line at the rear of the cylinder head and make sure you have no leaks from there. The epoxy is an actual "fix" per CAT refer to TIBU5690-01

If it's coming from under the spacer plate between the block and the head it most likely oil. I just had mine replaced a week ago. It turned out to be the tin gasket under the spacer plate between the block and the spacer plate. Cat told me that they have been running into some bad gasket material. Just thought i would give my two cents worth. Dutch also has a good point
