There is a Superliner on a "for sale" lot just south of Jackson MS. on I-55.
Bright yellow daycab, looks sharp from the road.

Years ago, the owner of a small construction company I used to work for bought a 1971 R700 that had the 325 V-8. Motor was DOA, so a Big Cam 290 was dropped in (compliments of three faithful employees - Victor Torch, Lincoln Welder, and hair pulling mechanic). 4 speed Browny, and 32 Tulsa completed the ensemble, and I ran that truck for a couple of years til moving to greener pastures. The Cummins went out, and they parked that truck in the graveyard. I often thought about trying to revive that old truck, always did like the long hood Dogs.

SUPERLINER and R-MODEL have the same cab just different hoods.

i like the looks of them ole dogs. i meet a couple most every day, pulling dumptrailors. we have 2 r models and the rest ch's. i like driving that old r every once in a while, 18 speed, and drives like a new one, probably million miles or more. they bought out a co. that had a superliner, and we have a western star that would rattle the fillings out of your teeth. everyday i guess i will keep the ch613.:biggrin_25525:

I still have a Superliner sitting around. Needs a bunch of repairs (initially from careless/abusive drivers & now weather. One of these days I'll put it back together, but I have a couple of other project trucks in line in front of it.
    Specs:

    • E-6 4V
    • T2090 9spd Overdrive
    • 3.87:1 Mack Rears on Neway Air Ride
    • Double frame
    • Twin Stacks with a 60" sack in the back
    • 24.5LP rubber on Budd wheels
No pics & it's too much of a mess right now to take a pic. I parked after I got hit in the truck stop in Harrisonburg, VA. I was sound asleep when it happened. The other driver stopped (I wasn't running the motor for the A/C & wasn't wearing much). By the time I put some clothes on, the driver took off & was never to be seen again. I was unable to recover anything & so the truck still sits 9 years after the incident.
~The pics are internet grabs, so if they are someone's pics let me know so I can credit the photo to you/them or remove it if you don't want it out on the 'net.~
