    Hi all.

I have a 1994 Pete with low air leaf. I did not notice the slightly high left side until I took the fifth wheel plate off and installed a small flat bed. I took the tape measure to it when the truck was sitting on a level bit of concrete, and it appears that the left rear corner is about 3/4" to 1" higher than the right side.

I measured this from the bottom air bag mount to the bottom of the frame rail, then moved the truck and measured again, with the same measurements.

All 4 air bags appear to be the same brand and in the same condition, which is used but good.

Is there some sort of leveling valve for left to right leveling? If so where might it be located and is it adjustable? Any help leveling the truck would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

Check the front leaf springs to make sure they are somewhat level. If the left rear is high the front right might be too low due to a weak spring. Often though with older trucks you will have some frames that get out of square over time. Unless your suspension has dual leveling valves adjusting the ride height valve will do nothing. Check the main pivot bushings at all 4 rear springs. They are hard to check visually because they are hidden by the hanger. One side worn out over the other will cause this too.

Put a jack under the low rail and lift it 1" ( simulating a change in bag/suspension) then remeasure both rails. If they are now the same distance from the ground then it should be a bag/suspension issue. If OTOH, the other rail is STILL higher (lifted a bit when you lifted the low one) then you may have a bent frame. Not a big deal either way but that should help locate what requires attention.

Thanks. I did not think about the front springs. With the miles on this truck, that very well may an issue.

I'll give the frame lift a try. That would be a great way to at least eliminate what it is not. The process of elimination I think it's called.:yes2557:
