I don't know how the exhange works out on the price, but around here there is no way a 99 Freighliner with 1 million miles would be worth $19,000. They don't really give many details on that site, I had to translate it with google, maybe i'm missing something.
-
I called owner and he told me that he had injectors changed, new clutch and new brake pads.
I'm not sure about bearings, turbo and other stuff.
Well, Odessa is about 800 miles far from me, so I gonna go there to see all and check all myself. I gonna grab my laptop to hook it to truck and check all I can -
LLooks like an old snider truck with all those orange stickers on it
American Trucker -
I've seen a lot of those same trucks around here with well over a million miles and still apparently running good. I saw one a couple of weeks ago with 1.9 million. Some of them have to have their doors wired shut with baling wire though so pay attention to doors, dash etc. to make sure nothing is falling apart.
Are you gonna be able to do an oil analysis or anything like that? I'd look closely for any oil/coolant leaks also Detroit recommends bull gear replacement at 750K for that motor so I'd be on the lookout for excessive vibration or leakage from front cover that might indicate a problem there.
Also I've heard quite a few people have recurring problems with AC brackets on that year series 60. -
well, I'll see this truck next week.
Owner post me pics and I can see, that tires are old.
About engine. Last year all injectors were changed with new, also new clutch.
Owner sells truck becouse he builds new business. He wanted me to purchase his 40' container trailer, but in Lugansk there is no freight for containers, so I wanna flatbed ore tint trailer -
One more quation, bull gear problem, what are symptoms, how hard to fix? as I understand hood, radiator, intercooler removal first... and I can do all in frame.
Really, I use to do electric works, so I need your advice how to inspect bull gear. -
"LLooks like an old snider truck with all those orange stickers on it"
Really , sure its not the OMAHA ORANGE paint job -
Pablo... you're the guru around here, I'm surprised you're asking us!
I don't know what your exchange rate is, but it really doesn't matter as you're in a different part of the world and the price is going to have a lot to do with supply and demand.
I had a Detroit and it was a good solid motor. They're known for their mpg or kpg in your case. Are service parts readily available? -
I got that same motor and mine has 1.2 million on it and the bull gear "seems" fine based on what I can determine.
