Dump some Power Service Bio Kleen in your tanks.
-
Thanks ill try it
-
Be prepared for some sticker-shock on that biocide. It does work though, be persistent and keep treating it or the algae will come back.
-
If you look in the tank at night with a flashlight you will be able to see whatever is in there. If nyou have a lot of condensation you may want to run the tanks down as far as possible and drain them.
-
Cut the filter open check for black slimy crap after time it will stop flow of fuel.
-
Agreed! The only way to really know what is going on is to open up the filter and see what is clogging things up. That is one of the nice things about using a Davco. -
10-4 guys, thanks for the input!

Well cut the filter black crap clogging it up so I have an appt tues am at detroit diesel they're yanking both tanks off flushing them out then treating they said it be bout a 3 hr or so this should make a huge diffence first 100 miles after fueling mpg would drop to 5.5 and run like crap after that mpg would climb to 6.7 and pull good. Guy at dd said what's prob happening is at fueling all that crap getting stirred up and after a bit it settles then truck runs like it should. Explains my love/hate going in with this fld/detroit motor.

The black crap is algae, after they flush your tanks run a bottle through, it will clean out the lines also.
BTW, Tractor Supply has the BIO KLEEN, about $17 a bottle.
