......or is it?????. I had our good friend "Mr Haney" do a PDI Stage 1 550 flash on my '05 MXS C-15. The other day I was heading to pick up a tank pup and was traveling empty, no trailer and no water on board with a tare of just 11,500 KG (25,000lbs). Came up to a car doing about 90km in a 100 zone so I pulled out to pass. , this thing is a ROCKET. I seriously doubt that my 7.3 power stroke pick up could catch it. Was pulling a 2 km 8% grade hill partially loaded (about 35 tonne (77,000 lbs) gross) the other day. Before the flash I would drop 4 1/2 gears loaded similarily on that hill. Now, I drop 2 gears. Fully loaded I come in at 45 tonnes (99,000 lbs) gross and on the little smoky river hill close to home here, I used to drop 3 1/2 gears loaded, now I drop 1 1/2. I have yet to see the EGT exceed 800 degrees. I don't know (or have any real way to tell) how the new flash compares as far as fuel economy goes but, in my line of work, with the added power, even if it uses a little more, it's moot as the time savings will trump the fuel cost in spades. Am I pleased....OH YEAH. Thanks for all the help Kurt. It's a pleasure to deal with someone that really DOES know what they are talking about.
This is the rig of which I speak.
It aint rocket science

That's a nice setup. Around here they drive the sprayers and nurse trucks seperatly, mostly RoGators not manyJD's. Don't think I've ever seen one getting pulled. Did you build that trailer?
-
It's actually a combine trailer made by "trailtech". The bigger farmers often use a lowboy with outriggers on the back half that the sprayer drives up on and have a few 1000 gal plastic tanks on the front half. Us custom guys typically use a set up like mine. Around here, Deere sprayers make up about 80% of all sprayers with 'gators making up the majority of the rest. My wife drives the other nurse truck. I let here know where I'm at and when I will need water and she brings me a load and pumps it onto my truck so I basically have a never ending supply of water.

Do you just do spraying? We don't do much custom work on the spraying side. Just use a tractor mounted.
BTW - just put 2 and 2 togather on your username, lol -
That is a nice looking rig!
I use a similar one to haul fuel with and does great.Licensed to kill Thanks this. -
We don't see any tractor mounted sprayers like yours around here. Didn't even know they MADE them that big. Any 3 pt hitch types are WAY smaller than that. I have a 100 gallon one with 30 ft booms and thought THAT was pretty big. -
Fun to drive now isn't it?
I have a boost leak on mine (won't build over 40psi) and it still runs awesome.
I agree with everyone else who's had it done. The only regret is not doing it sooner. Like driving a totally different truck.07-379Pete Thanks this. -
I look at the picture of your truck and wonder..........how in the heck do you keep the tires soooooooooo clean on a dirt road?
Truck looks great and now it runs great too..........Thank You for the purchase and the referral to your brother, I sent his ECM back to him Wednesday -
How much does an ECM weigh??? Just curious cuz if I go with Mr. Haney, i will have to overnight it most likely.
