Has anyone else tried this product?

I purchased this kit about a month ago off of eBay and had pretty good luck with it. I have an 02 W900 with a bull rack tied to it and my Big Cat 550HP C15 has been seeing around 4.6mpg this spring. After installing the kit my last 6 fuel stop average has been 5.9mpg with a high of 6.2mpg.

Does anyone know exactly what the wires in this kit do? So far i have been vary happy with the fuel savings and noticeable power increase but wonder exactly whats going on. I have seen a 2 or 3 lb increase on my boost gauge and very little change in pyro temps so i dont thing there is anything i should be worried about.

Any input on how these work or knowledge any potential problems they may cause will be greatly appreciated.

So far they get an A+ in my book! I just hope they dont cause any problems down the road. Thanks in advance for any input.

ECM trickery. Hope you didnt pay more than $40 for it off flea bay.
By the way if you did give some smuck named longdong $200 bucks for what could make yourself for less than 25 bucks there is truly a fool born every min.

thx for the info 07-379. It looks like if someone had the know how and confidence to build their own they sure could do it. I would just be scared to get the wrong size resistor or make some mistake that would damage my engine or ecm. I paid more than $40 but it did pay for itself in just a week so i dont mind spending money with that fast of a return, since then its been $$ in my pocket from the substantial mpg increase. I do around 2500 miles a week so by my calculations its saving me almost $500 a week. That $2K savings a month may just be what keeps me afloat for a while longer.

Does that ECM trickery pose any threat to my engine or is it kinda like getting power back from the factory de-tuning CAT does for EPA regs?

If the kit continues to give me the mpg gains it has so far I'd give twice that for it and ill bet hundreds of others would also. Ill gladly pay someone who knows what they are doing money for a product they have developed. Maybe I threw some caution into the wind by buying a product off of ebay but with 100% positive feedback from the seller i didnt figure i had much to worry about. After all $200.00 is a small drop in the bucket for truck parts so i figured what the heck. So far I'm very happy with the purchase and just want to know if it could cause any problems down the road. If the answer is "no" then I would gladly tell anyone to go buy one from the same outfit i got mine from.

Im not sure if its more foolish to go hacking into your factory engine harness with instructions obtained from an online forum or if it was more foolish for me to pay someone who seemed to know what they were doing to build mine. Im not a mechanic or an electrical genius so im not about to go under the hood of my truck with some side cutters and a hand full of resistors. The kit i bought is all sealed up and looks like it will last. From what ive seen so far if i had 10 trucks id order 10 more kits for them, maybe they have a volume discount for "fools". For now ill just be happy with the substantial fuel cost savings i am seeing.

(sorry, i get a little defensive sometimes)

Anyhow, does anyone know if there are any problems this kit may cause?

Sounds like there is a jealous prick in the house. If it really works go for it.

The wire on the boost sensor can be built to where the soot levels increase substantially in your oil between oil changes. The fuel temp sensor will not cause any issues.

New to the forum, I have a pdi stage one 550 flash, and a mraw pdi exhaust manifold. I was told to stay away ftom stage 2 in favor of saving my head gaskets. I try to keep it under 60 psi boost for this reason. Wondered if I can run the fuel / boost wire mods on top of my ecm flash. Just looking for a little bit more. I haul ~90 to 95k and like the power. I've read a lot of posts & seems 150ohm 1/2 watt in temp and 1.5k 1/2 watt in boost. Advice would be very appreciated. Thanks.
