seems to me the problem was in conncector corrosion and it dissapeared after some attention.

Hi I am new to this website and i am not sure how to post up a new question. I have a volvo I shift and getting a J1708 error. Codes are MID140 PID250 FMI9. When the truck is in neutral it revs normally when accelerator is pressed. As soon as we engage it in Auto or manual it does not go into gear and the truck does not even rev when we press the accelerator. Could this be a wiring issue? Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Regards

question.... how do you have a D-13 in a 2004 Volvo......the D-13 didn't come out until 2008...? or is that a typo and should read D-12

Hi Pablo, thank you for your assistance. Would you suggest we check the wiring or drop the gearbox to check the clutch ore? Also just to clarify, the engine does not rev when put in gear and accelerator is pressed. This is why we suspected an electrical fault. But we have no Volvo dealer close to us so have a specialist coming down to our workshop tomorrow. Just want to make sure the guy knows what he's checking and not going by guess work as the last person did. The calibration can only be done via PTT/VTT right?
