What is actually happening inside the transmission when a gear is split?

have you seen tranny inside? yeah! you saw input shaft with a gear that drives countershaft... it is simple tranny. Splitter tranny got primary shaft with two gears and that's why you can lower any gear a bit, split one gear!

So you can use any gear like hi and low. for example 9H is faster 9L, but 9L is fastr 8H...

Splitter is air controlled, cylinder is located in front end of transmission
