It has happened a few times lately. Turn on the A/C and it works fine. Drive all day stop for fuel. Turn the engine back on and the blower won't blow. Then a couple minutes later it will start blowing. Today I shut the engine off and when I turned it back on the rear bunk was blowing but not the front vents, two seperate switches and both were on. Turned the engine off and on and then it starts blowing out the front vents again. I am stumped. Thanks in advance for any help.

The rear vents are on a seperate blower.
Two possible problems is the front blower motor brushes are almost wore out or the blower motor relay has some dirty/wore contacts.
I would start with the relay since it's alot cheaper. You can actually do a relay swap to see if it's the relay or blower motor. Do the swap when it's not blowing.
Sometimes you can tap on motor housing with something solid and help the motor get past it's dead spot with the brushes. Another indication it's the motor.ETCH5858 Thanks this. -
Brushes are worn in the motor. When you start up, it takes a lot of energy to get the fan turning, that trips the breaker. Time for new fan motors (I think they have a heavy duty, or severe duty motor for some trucks, they're built sturdier). Good idea to replace the breakers too, they're cheap and it's good insurance.

more than likely the fan motor. The blower motor in my old truck started doing that this spring and now the blower motor in my new truck is starting to act up.
On the 9000 series INT the blower motor is under the passenger seat and the motor for the dash vents is in the left front corner(when looking at seat from behind). Try hitting the top of the compartment cover with your hand to see if the motor starts up, if not remove the seat and top cover to the compartment and then tap the motor with a hammer. If the motor starts up then it is the problem. It's not too big of a deal to change it out, the only trouble I had was getting the old motor separated from the ducting. Besides the screws used to hold it in there was also some type of glue and that made it a little harder to get everything apart without breaking stuff. The Challenger and ETCH5858 Thank this. -
Thanks guys for all your help...Too dang hot in Texas to have the A/C go bad.

I am having the same problem with mine! I opened the glove box and looked at the schematics, but there was nothing that said "blower", "heater blower", etc....most of the stuff in the fuse box are those big black relay things, and only three 'spade' type fuses. How do you know which relay it is, and none of the three spade fuses were blown. I'm in TX, and it will start getting HOT. Thank you!
