Cummins ISX15 VS Paccar MX

    Haha..

    They seem to have lots of problems with them but seems like they are better than any US engine these days. New Detroit seems to work quite fine though.

    I have 6 isx engines, in w900s and t800s, and currently have 2 Paccar MX 455hp, make sure you get the ST (smart torque) on either one, if your looking new, we run regional and pull tanks, the MX is getting about 6.5. and isx are getting about 6.1 to 6.2, loaded, the isx is more beefy, but the MX is smooth and quiet engine, not sure what resale on mx would be but have been running ISX's since 2004.

    You will have more repair options with a Cummins, were the Paccar is limited to Peterbuilt and Kenworth dealers. We have seen an issue with getting parts for the MX so far.
