SISU are rare, really rare trucks here. Some used trucks were imported to Russia and were operated in St. Peterbug area. Sometimes they run in my town, but generally with St.Pete licensie plates. I've seen different models, of conventional and COE design generally with N14, C16 and ISX. Newer are all with Volvo powertrain.
Seems to me with Renault/Mack cab SISU looses its individuality and looks like a Renault Kerax -

I heard Mika Hakkinan ( hope I spelt his name right) describe it as having courage but not being an idiot at the same time, Being brave but not stupid, any info on sisu trucks? -

We get very few Sisu trucks here.
Thier planetary/hub reduction axles are widely used in the Western Star heavy haulers , road trains and mining applications.
I believe you can lock up the diff and cross locks on the fly. -
Killer report thanks. I dig that truck

I'm thinking of buying one of these. Hows the fuel economy compared to a 525 ISX?

KT I put a bi-fold door with a 1x6 on the edge to keep things from falling off. I put it across the back two shelves with a little Velcro to hold in place. Works great. I do agree with the author that whoever designs the inside of trucks must never have spent time in them.
KANSAS TRANSIT Thanks this.
