Why does it look like some of them have the grille tipped back more at the top, while others seem more straight up, or are my eyes just messing with me.

Without walking out and looking I believe the W900B (short hood) is straight and the L is slightly tilted
-
That part is true, but i still coulda swore the w900ls looked different dometimes, again i might be crazy though.
-
They do look different! No clue why though... Some have a 'flat' hood and a flat two-piece windshield, others have a curved up slightly at the back hood and either a one-piece windshield or a two-piece windshield.
Why the differences? On a daycab especially, the curved hood and two-piece curved windshield looks the best IMO. -
The Flat two piece windsheild is the older style cab, dont know if you can still get it or not, but i know you still could within the last few years.
The curved two piece, and curved single piece are both the newer aero-cab, (not really that new came out a long time ago), i think you can get them in two piece simply for serviceability, or looks.
I was just talking about how some W900Ls seemed like their grille leaned back some more, but i think its just my eyes and brains playing tricks on me. -
Im not sure if i know what im talking about here, so KW guru's, please feel free to correct me...
I believe in '06 the 900L hood that curved up to meet the windshield was an option. In '07, i believe all 900L's had this hood?
Again, if im wrong, please let me know... -
SHC Thanks this.

It may be how the hood rolls up to meet the cab on curved windshield models versus the flat ones, I know on the two T600s we have one has the curved and the other the flat and the do kind of play tricks on your mind if you just glance at them.
It's KW John, just depends on what someone feels like throwing together that day. I'm still trying to figure out how I got an '88 with factory unimount wheels, and a factory window in the back of the bunk on a flattop.
