my n14 will start every time as long as it is started every day. if it sets more than a day it wont start. it has to be cranked over and over and then walk away for a while. doing this a few times it will fire up. what gives?

Possibly loosing fuel prime, or the fuel pump is getting worn to the point where it is just barely able to start, but once running it is fine.
cetanediesel Thanks this. -
gotasphalt take your check valve off at the outlet on your ECM cooling plate and clean it out. trash can get in there and let fuel siphone back to the tank losing prime.

This thread is from last year.

DUH.... but maybe someone researching this problem could use the info...
N14_strong Thanks this. -
The last relevant post in this thread is #22. Gotashpalt should have started a new thread because he has a different problem than the original poster, (Wildhog) did. He did the same thing you did, bring up a dead thread. Don't worry, most people know how to use this forum and will ask current questions by starting new threads specific to their situation. No one wants to dig up 2 year old threads and read through numerous pages that deal with different problems and every possible solution under the sun.
