I have been looking for the correct software to use for diagnostics and manuals, etc, for the cat engines my father and I own. We want to be able to do as much work ourselves as possible, up to, and including, overhauls if need be. We want to have Cat ET as well as the digital manuals and parts information, if possible.
Came across this website http://www.o2epc.com//Caterpillar-diagnostic-software-tool-interface.html
They list various options and combinations of the Cat software. They also list the factory password generator for full/high access to things like fts/fls and the like, and discs of flash files as well. This could all be handy for us I suppose.
Need to know if this software, and perhaps the seller if anyone know them, is worthwhile as it's offered there. Also want to know what we can and can't do with the different levels of access that would be available with and without the password generator. We aren't dumb enough to screw up a computer, but we would like to know we can change anyhting we need to, so knowing what we need for software would be nice.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
