it is a big money loss!
usually it happens with wrong cyl. head torque (head leaks coolant, new gasket does not stop the leak, becouse head needs to be resurfaced and someone smart tries to overtotq. headbolts). sometimes with local thermal stress, related with coolant leak.
The only way - look for OM460 cyl block on JY and move all parts from one engine block to other. Welding does not help, like "cold welding too", engine runs, but keeps loosing coolant.
I can see damaged blocks on OM457/460 and OM904/906/924/926 usually twice a year. and all these fails are relaited with "human factor"Last edited: Dec 10, 2011
