2007 T800, three hash marks, and the "*f" symbol show under hours readout instead of outside temp. Anyone know where send unit is located, and if that is the problem? Thanks in advance.

The OAT sensor is in your drivers side mirror ( little black button) if you disasemble the mirror you can replace the sensor or just tie strap a new one to your mirror bracket. Do not cut and splice the wires.. run it thru the grommet and plug it in properly..
-
Thanks, Kapt. KW I have the West Coast style mirrors, don't think it would be there, but will look when I stop.

Still cannot find that darn sensor! Don't think it is on mirror brackets; West Coast style, heated, non Moto, they both have the grey wire going into bottom of mirror, no black wire or anything looking like a sensor. Also looked under, and around sunvisor. I may have to start behind the gauge and follow it out. What's aggravating is that I probably looked right at it, and didn't realize it.
-
Its gonna be there unless someone has done some creative work....The plug is behind the lhs dash cluster plugged into the instrument panel harness and labled OAT sensor..
droy Thanks this. -
Not on the bracket, on the bottom edge of the mirror head itself. shoot me your ser. number, i'll have a look.
droy Thanks this. -
YES!!!!!
Exactly where you guys said it would be. As I figured, I looked right at it, without seeing it; was also expecting a separate wire, this one is bundled in the grey heat wire. Brings me to next question, can just the sensor be replaced or does the whole mirror gotta go?
While I have the attention of some knowledgable
KW guys, another project is to replace the two gauge clusters on either side of the speedo / tach. Truck presently has 10 gauges, if radio counts as gauge, lol. Found gauge cluster out of 2007 W900, told it would fit in my 2007 T800. My T800 has "multi-plex"? . Gauges appear the same so they should swap eh?
My vin = 194205 , don't have the other.
Thanks again guys!!! -
Gotta have both VINs to be 100% sure. But is is EXTREMELY likely that these are compatible. And radio does not count as a guage!
Sensor p/n Q21-1064.
P.S. there is a service kit available, p/n SK1525 for about half the cost, but the p/n abve gets you the complete unit with connevtor to the cab harness. Also I took a look at the instructions for the complete kit, total install time 15 minutes, install plus diagnostics = 30 minutes.droy Thanks this. -
Hey guys, I got the same problem with my 07 T600. So you're saying the sensor is that little black nub on the bottom of the mirror housing? I would assume that's what went bad.
