Would any of you current drivers drive this truck?? Has anyone on here driven this truck?? Would any current and future drivers care to elaborate on the handling of this beauty.

Personally, I take the new Pete 579 over that anyday. Yes, I realize it's the same cab/mechanicals.
-
Looks like they shook out the T660 and T700 parts bins into a pile and threw on some expensive new headlights.
I have no idea what is going on with the 579, but they might have well not built the 587 and just slapped that name on their 579 design. The 587 is pretty much identical to the 387 anyway.
I'm hoping the 586 doesn't come out looking a hot mess. The 386 is the best looking truck in the current line up in my opinion. Got compliments every week when I was driving one if I kept it clean. -
I drive a 15 year old Freightliner with a tired Detroit....I would welcome the change!! Nice looking truck to my skewed eyes!
-
it isnt the cramped 660 or the spacious 700 it must be the ####### cousin
-
looks like a heavy pile of problems.
-
Looks better than the Columbia I drive I got to talk my boss into getting some of those.
MNoutkast Thanks this. -
I see too many Europran details in cab. Handles, buttons, climat units are in DAF XF105 style, I sugest engine is Paccar MX and ZF astronic transmission, so it shares powertrain with DAF and Pete.
Cab is made of aluminium with rare in Europe options, like swivel seat and sleeper, Europeans cant dream abou. Really good cabinet. I love it.
I sugest they put disk brakes with EBS and other modern stuff. -
Ouh, I see ultrashift plus available.... cool truck
-
660 + 700 / 2 = 680?
So the cab is wider than the 660, good, but maybe not quite as wide as the 700, not so good?
Perhaps this is just the way to get a wider cab with more/different size sleeper and daycab options that the 700.
