    Greased front bearings

I have a 91 Ford L9000 and it has greased front bearings, with a dust cover of course. The truck has been sitting, do they need to be repacked after a certain interval? I've only dealt with oil bath hubs. I bought the truck used and don't know the history. Thanks.

it wouldn't hurt to repack them better safe than sorry. you can probably convert them to oil bath which in my opinion is better. but i would replace bearings and races and seals if you do.

semi-annually would be a good thing if it's driven a lot. Otherwise at least annually.

Yeah, repacking wheel bearings on a regular basis is a smart move. Unless you got those lifetime pack type hubs that International likes to use.

No, these are old style, 6 screws hold the grease cover on. I don't think the sealed units were available back then.
