I'm not a mechanic,i need help from somebody to explain to me what is a bearing and in what part of the truck i can find it .and how many miles have you Drove before you changed it,what brought a change from the bearing,better mpg or what helps the change and how long is the work time for a 2007 c13,and this is a very expensive job i have now 745k on the engine

Im going to assume you are talking about the engine bearings (rods, main and cam) and oversimplify it.
Your engine bearings are specially sized pieces of metal that are designed to hold the engine oil. As the oil pump forces the oil through the system, it enters through a hole in the bearing, and that pressurized oil is what acts as a barrier between the metal of the bearing and journal (the journal is the polished surface of the crankshaft) because the oil doesn't compress.
That is why it is important to do regular maintenance (oil changes)
Once again, this is a highly oversimplified explanation.
Engine bearings can last for a million miles on a big truck if you don't run it too hard, and as far as cost goes, figure at least a few thousand to do everything right.
