we have a couple 2012 600's and the 2010 550s will cook past them. the new SCR single cam motors2011 and up) for some reason are much lazier than the dual cam motors (2008-2010), even with egr and DPF still in place

no issues. Never took offence by it. I speak forumiese....;)

Wish I had some insight for you. I am just learning my 09 DD15 in my cascadia still. Had it for 3 months now. Just when I think i got something figured out and try DOING it, it proves me wrong.

I feel like a numpty. I never realized the new ISX's were'nt twin cam motors like the older versions. It makes sense considering the motors looks different under the hood.

It figures this truck feels under powered, I bought it for me to drive rather than someone else!

Talk to Mr.Haney about it. I've been in contact with him about the same situation that you have. He has access to make the new SCR motors run much better and improve MPGs while still retaining the emissions equiptment. Most likely the route I will take

On the twin cam ISX engines, wasn't one on the cams just for the fuel system and not the valves?

Cummins has always messed with low power. I witnessed a 400 hp Big Cam on a dyno once, that an O/O complained about, and it only put 290 to the ground.

The Cummins gentalman stated that they usually came from the factory set low, and if the customer did not say anything, that is the way it stayed. Mechanical pumps.

So if a company driver was lucky enough to get a 400, he really did not even have a good running 350. Cats put the power to the ground....

Am in the process of ordering a 579 with a 500/1850 isx. Anyone heard of or know anything about getting the emissions taken off?

Hey Charlie, I'm a wrecker driver from Medford. Got an 08 T800 with the ISX 485/1650 but I have 4.11's running 11r24.5's. I'm taching out doing 83, however she accelerates like a raped ape! I'm assuming the EPA BS is what's hampering your forward progress per say. I will also wholeheartedly agree, Cummins NE sucks! They wanted almost $700 to uprate my truck! I'm buying the entire software suite for less than that!

I'm driving my dads 08 set at 485/1850. Dog dog dog, I kept
complaining and doing research to find out why. I unplugged the
Egr valve and it runs much much better, but throws a code and has a little
less boost. Dad made a block off with a redirect to the exhaust

I'm happy now, runs way better with like 5# more boost. know I told him
we should sell it as a package to help people and make some extra money:biggrin_25525:

If you think it'll help you let me know and I'll ask him about sharing
    it. Good luck
