You can oder it with the 60 series or have it cone set up for one. Also you can tell them what motor you want 12.7 or 14L it doesnt matter.
Where to buy glider kits, engine, etc.

How, or if, you can do this probably depends on the wiring harness requirements of the Cascadia. As you are probably aware, when Kenworth started doing gliders this year, they set up the wiring in them for EPA '04 or newer engines. Since Cascadia is primarily an EPA '07 or newer truck, you might be limited on the compatibility side of things to only using a similar engine. But who knows, maybe using a pre-egr Detroit will not be an issue. I sure hope not, for those that are considering this.

All gliders are ordered without an engine. But when you order at the time, you tell FL what engine you are going to put in it, and then they supply the plumbing and hookups for mounting that engine in the truck. -
This is not true about all gliders coming with out engines. With both Freightliner and Western Star you can order the glider with a factory installed engine... You can get if from the factory with a Cummins N14, CAT C-13, C-15, C16, and the Detroit 12.7L and 14L all pre-egr
If you order the glider with the motor it is called a powered glider and comes with no rears but with the suspension. The catch with all of this is some dealers will tell you that you can not order them powered. This is bull ####. You can and I know this for a fact. If your dealer will not call the next closest one and I am sure you can find one that will. The reason some will not order a powered glider is this simple. It takes much less time to hang a transmission and rears on a truck then it does to rebuild a motor and put the transmission in. The make about 75% more doing rolling gliders rather then powered gliders. I know this because the local dealers I worked with spelled it all out and showed me numbers. This being said most dealers will give you the glider at cost or close to cost if they are putting in and rebuilding the motor. Here is an example of a powered glider....

The Cascadia was NEVER built with a Pre EGR 1998 EPA motor. So they should not and probably WILL NO be able to offer it with anything earlier than a 2007 EPA engine harness. This is my assumption at this point. When I am saying anything about being "caught" I am referring to installing a 98 EPA motor vs a 2007 EPA motor. Come on guys! I thought you would have been able to figure this out. The glider kit cannot be built to any specification that does not match what it was Originally built for. There are obviously 2008 and 2009 model year Cascadias with DD S60 14 Liter motors built. So this means wiring harness and such should be able to be ordered for this ORIGINAL combination. Fitting a 98 EPA Pre EGR motor would be the issue based on wiring and electronics. But as far as I can tell, wiring is no diff from DDECIV to DDECV.
My questions is basically this.
If you took ANY truck with EPA 2007 DD Series 60 14 liter and did a swap to a 12.7 EPA 98 motor what problems whould yo have to deal with? What would the issues be? -
Very true!!! lol
I am not sure on the wiring but I do know that if anybody can help Kustom trucks would be the guys. The guy that runs it is great to deal with and could tell you what you would need. They also make great wiring harnesses, they are not cheap but are very high in quality and plug and play.

So here is my next question.
If you could build a NEW 2012 or 2013 Cascadia witha 2007 EPA Motor wich would it be?? DD15 Series 60 14 Liter or maybe a Cummins?
Which motor would be the easiest to DELETE EGR and which motor has best possibilities for ENGINE Tuners etc??
