Need mechanics opinion cummings or volvo ENGINE.....

    IM seriously debating buying a volvo automatic but im not sure wich engine is the best,cheapest to maintain and or easiest to get work done cummings or volvo engine.Im reading alot about volvo being notouriously expensive for parts and no one wanting to work on them does it help to lower down time if it has the cummings engine?

    It's a crap shoot. Few really like either, but accept what's offered. Both are expensive when they go down. Cummins has a broader service network that could be an advantage.

    If you really want an automatic then buy a Volvo engine. Then you'll have an I-shift and that's far ahead on the Ultrashift plus...

    Thats what i was thinking also should be more people able to work on the cummings...I really likethe volvo im torn..
