    Hello,

I am going to lower the front end of my truck, but do not know which air ride kit to purchase. I want to remove one of the leaf springs and install air bags to control the ride height. I see that some people have made there own set-ups using air bags and valves, but I do not know enough to build my own set-up. I would like to purchase a kit that has everything I need, or almost everything I need. I see kits from $1,000 to $2,500. Some kits comes with air valves and switches and other kits just come with brackets and air bags. I don't want to purchase a cheap kit, but I also don't want to spend lots of money on something I don't need. Any advice, comments or suggestions are appreciated.

    Thank you,

    Mario

In addition to the previous post, I would also ask, you do realize that you are also going to be unable to get proper weight distribution on the drive axles after this don't you? If you have a reason to lower it, you need to lower the complete length of the frame as well. I would also remember, this is not an automobile, this is a truck that will be loaded to 80,000 lbs at times while you are negotiating curves and railroad tracks and sometimes all at the same time. If it is "The Look" that you are after, forget it, there is an incredible amount of engineering and design work that goes in to the steering axle assembly of a class eight truck, if you don't have the expertise, forget it.

If you want to lower it, go with 255/22.5 low profile tires all the way around.

yeah, and get one of the California front bumpers that almost scrape ground, it will look plenty low.

It will also change the driveline angle. The fifth wheel will have to be moved further forward to out weight back on the steers, then the rear drive will have less weight on it then the front drive. I would lower the entire truck or none of it.

####, let the man do what he wants with his truck. He just came here asking a question before he pulls the trigger on doing this. Some valid points here in posts. The rest are smart ### remarks.

Look into the 12gauge set up, their new kit uses the bags of a kw 8 bag system, not the little hamburger bags but the bigger ones that are on the ag100. You can have it slammed to the ground when parked then you raise it to regular ride hight when driving. It can be done right where it dont affect or change anything and you'll be low.

People talk about things like they know when they never tried it themselves. Just herd stories or herd this guy say that. If you don't know $h!t then keep your mouths closed or don't talk about it like you know everything.

    Haters always gonna hate.
