95 KW t800 with n14 power steering fluid change... how to?

    How do i go about servicing the power steering system on my truck? Its a 95 with a trw steer box and has a steer assist on passenger side. What type of fluid is recommended? Atf ,15-40? Any filters? Thanx

    some of the older units run 20 weight oil. i would check with the dealer

    There should be a filter in the resivoir the number should be stamped in the. Housing also you can slush it by pulling the return line from the box to resivoir I plug of the resivoir and outt the hose from the box in a 5 gallon bucket have someone get in the truck and start it while you keep the fluid roped off have them turn the wheels lock to lock untill you have clean fluid then change the filter top off the fluid and your good to go

    If it is a sheaperd box 15/40 is fine, I usually put it in trw boxes also.
