Thanks to everyone for comments, suggestions, and help. The truck seems to be now operating
as it should. After installing SRS sensor, TRS sensor, fuel pump, and checking wires and ground
connections, I got counseling from rebel 127 and finally got and installed oil pressure sensor.
Now everything works as should(who knows for how long) including all dash group gauges.
Even fuel guage seems to be working again. Orinally, the fuel guage went haywire about two years ago,
then the oil pressure guage started showing extra pressure, and no fluctuations. Applying brakes or slowing
down would cause check engine light to come on and oil pressure would stop working. Then the problems
with no start came on two weeks ago.

Just wanted to update and show what I learned.
found that you can use the ignition key switch, on the unit with push button starter, turned right against the spring, will read out the codes in the
check engine light and also on the other two lights. different codes in different circuits.
I got codes 53 and 31 each on different circuits.
Also learned that you can disconnect the oil pressure sensor and the engine will run without shutting down,
only have to put up with buzzer.
Installed new oil pressure sensor and the system works properly now. Oil pressure guage now works as it should.
The fuel guage now seems to be working properly also, although I don't see how that was involved.
Everthing in the dash group seems to work now. We'll see for how long.
Thanks again for the help, James

I'm sorry, but this unit can be read with a flashing code. It has a switch key and a start button. You turn the key on, then turn against the spring and hold. Watch the check engine light for 1 circuit and watch the two red lights on each side of that for another curcuit. That is how I was able to diagnose my problem. Try it before saying no.

Don't think he was trying to say you cant do it. He was stating hes surprised you were able to diagnose a problem like that without dddl.

Pablo he was able to get the trouble codes from using the method he stated with the check engine light and stop engine light to display the faults.

Click "Advanced Search". In the "User Name" box just type his user name and click search. Then all post related to that user will pop up. At the top of the list is a link to the users profile page. From there you should be able to message them.
